I was talking with Tanya, the lady who runs the
mother/toddler playgroup, about children and
going to church with them. She told me that she
really wants to take her two youngest boys, ages
9 and 11, to church and she asked me if there was
a church that I would recommend. Then she
said, "Well, I should just go to your church."
She asked when we would be starting and said to
let her know so she could come. She attended
church as a child, but I do not think she is
saved. She has a tender heart and a desire to
know God. Please pray for her and her boys for
their salvation. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Seth and Jason really enjoyed our turkey dinner
and coconut cream pie! Their favorite item on the
menu was Yorkshire puddings, which are a puffy
pastry-type roll that you put gravy on. Not
exactly a traditional Thanksgiving food, but good
none the less. They would not eat anything else
until all the Yorkshire puddings were gone. Paul
enjoyed sweet potatoes for his feast. Mmmm! We
asked Seth and Jason what they were thankful for.
Seth was thankful for turkey and Jason was
thankful for banana chips! The next day we went
to England for a Thanksgiving meal with other
American missionaries. We had a wonderful time
visiting with old friends and meeting some new
ones. Seth and Jason were able to run around and
play with the other children. It was a good day!
We are once again ending our month with sickness
going through the family. We all have colds and
are feeling pretty awful. I hope we do not
continue this trend next month or we will be sick
for Christmas. Please pray that our health
improves quickly.
We hope you all have a merry Christmas and a
happy New Year!

Welsh classes are going really well. It has been
so long since I have been in a classroom setting
that I was a little leery of how I would do, but
I am really enjoying the class and enjoying
letting Caleb put the boys to bed two nights a
week. : ) Caleb is doing great in his class, of
course. He is such a brain! The boys and I went
to the Thanksgiving service at the Groeslon
School. The children sang songs and did little
skits. There were at least 75 people jammed in to
see their children and grandchildren perform. I
sat there and imagined that they were there for a
church service and we were listening to the
children's choir. That thought was so
exciting...it gave me goose-bumps! I can't wait
to see what God will do in this little village of
Y Groeslon! Today Caleb caught Jason playing on
the computer. There was a message on the screen
that read..."Are you sure you want to delete all
21 items?" Yeah, so don't trust a two-year-old
with your computer! : ) This month is ending
with the flu making it’s way through our family.
Yuck! Hopefully we are about to kick it. Caleb is
the only one who has not caught it, maybe he will
get lucky and it will skip him. Well, that is all
until next month. Have a great Thanksgiving!

School started for Seth on the 5th. He is
enjoying it and we have noticed a few Welsh words
popping up in his vocabulary. He also looks so
cute in his little uniform. He brought home his
first artwork from school...a blob of blue paint
on white paper. He said it was a snowman. Jason's
birthday party was really nice. We had 8 kids and
a parent for each here at the house. We played
pass-the-parcel and had sandwiches, snacks and
cookies to eat. I made lion cupcakes, which
turned out really cute and tasty, too. Jason got
a ride-on firetruck from Taid and us...he loves
it! Paul is sitting some now. He can also crawl
(army style) and I started him with rice cereal
last week. We have added two little additions to
our family. Wiggles and Fidget are dwarf hamsters
and according to Seth are our friends. The boys
love them and even Paul was crawling after them
when they were in their exercise ball. Our Welsh
classes are going well. Please continue to pray
for us as we are learning this language.

~~August News~~
|
|
We have had beautiful weather during most of
August, but I think that is over. It feels like
autumn now and has been raining every afternoon
for the past week. We have been putting Gospel
tracts in the letter haboxes of Groeslon. There
are at least 20 small villages and Caernarfon in
our area to whom we can give tracts...so we will
be busy with that for quite a while.
It is blackberry season. Yeah! While passing out
tracts we would sometimes stop along side the
road and pick blackberries for Seth and Jason.
They really enjoyed that...Caleb and I did, too.
Mmmm!
Paul has his first tooth and his second tooth
looks like it will come in sometime next month.
He is almost 5 months old now. It doesn't seem
like that much time has passed, but with how big
he has gotten...I know it is true. :D
School starts on Tuesday for Seth. He is looking
forward to that. My mother/toddler playgroup
starts back on Tuesday as well. Jason is now
climbing on everything...the window sills, the
table, the back of the couch, the piano... Though
from what I hear he comes by it naturally. :P
We went to another birthday party and have been
invited to another for Sunday afternoon. We have
met quite a few people this way and has given
Caleb a good opportunity to practice his Welsh.
Welsh classes start up next month. Please pray
for us!!!!!

~~July News~~

We have to be careful when taking the boys
shopping in the stroller because they will grab
things off the shelves, and we will walk out of
the store with them. Once it was a shoe, once a
birthday card. After we left Woolworths today
Seth said, "Here Dad, I took this off." It was
a "shoplifters will be procecuted" sign! I'm
suprised it was Seth. Jason is usually the one
with the sticky fingers. I think they can reach
things better from the back seat, which is were
Seth was, and were Jason usually sits. I took
some books to church for Seth and Jason to have
during the service. During the prayer Caleb gave
Jason a book about dinosaurs to keep him quiet.
While turning the pages Jason started talking
really loud so everyone could hear. Alligator!
Alligator! Alligator plays with cars! Alligator
crying! Alligator! We, of course, shushed him but
couldn't help but smile. He was so cute!
